Indeed, more than large number create an increase demand for food, fuel, water, and minerals, all in all of which ca drug abuse some environmental fix during their production. However, demographers and environmental scientists realize that the impact a macrocosm has on the environment is determined not just by the come in of people involved but by the kinds of technologies used and their relation back levels of affluence and material consumption.
The IPAT concept is sometimes expressed by means of the idea of an ecological footprint a measure of how a lot land and water is required to support the consumption of an individual. The point, all too often ignored, is that this trend is being driven in large part by a combination of population growth and increasing per capita consumption, and it cannot be long continued without risking a collapse of our nowglobal civilization.
