Running is a passion of mine that was suddenly fitful when I was only seventeen. I loved the feeling of escaping occasional realties, test alone on trails and finding new routes that nonexistence knew I was on. I was warned numerous times about the uncertainties and scares of running alone, but I was in denial that such unworthy events could happen to an innocent girl like me.
After school one day in late October, as I was tying my shoes and getting ready for my run, my mom came into my get on with a worried look on her face. She told me that last workweek there was an unidentified troops hiding in the bushes along my usual running trail. At the time I persisted in believing that nothing bad would ever happen to me, so I ignored her plea to remain on the streets during my run. When I reached the fork in the road leading to the main street or to my usual running path, I stopped for a moment. I thought about what my mom said, but contumacious that she must be overthinking the situation and so I keep toward the small dusty outlet that led to the trail screwing the houses. About thirty minutes into my run I was attacked from ass and wrestled to the ground.

A million thoughts ran through my head, but my moms words were haunting me as I struggled to escape the mans hold the line. I was finally able to jab my computer-aided design savagely into the mans testicles and flee as his grasp loosened from my body.
That day I remember grappling with whether to arrest on the streets or run my favorite trail. Immediately later my decision to take the unsafe route, I experienced noise due to decision-making and quickly started to justify in my head of why running the trail was a good decision.
