Today the great beam the mayflower leaves for the faraway land of Virginia. I am leaving my anterior kin with my wife, Adrienne, and my nine-year-old daughter Sarah. There argon one nose candy and two men, women, and children who argon leaving our beloved England for our religious freedom. The powerfulness has passed a law that we can non live in England if we do not believe in his beliefs. I am not sensible of what this journey lead be like or what this Virginia exit be like. The whole journey could be fateful or it can be favorable. I hope this trip will be fruitful and not disastrous, as I business it may be. It is apparent that my fate and those of the 101 other passengers rests in Gods hands.
28 September 1620
Yesterday, the twenty ordinal of September, a terrible storm hit our ship and we on the whole were forced to go below the deck. The waves were about 30 feet tall and were crashing upon the deck washing everything out of sight. We lost some of our forage and a few blankets but on that point were no major(ip) losses. Up until now the sea has been kind to us and there book not been any events until yesterday. As I compile in this book, a man named William Bradford and three other men, are up on the deck watching the weather and to divulge if there are any more storms abroad.
Adrienne and I have made many friends onboard, as has Sarah. She has met a brother and baby who like to play with Sarah and often do when the men and women are tending to their jobs. I hope the next time I write in this book, that things will have gotten better.

I bring good news as I said I would in my last entry, we have landed. unfortunately we have not landed in Virginia but in a new colony that as I consider we will call it New Plymouth, after our previous home Plymouth, England. Almost all of the men are sent to lead astray gathering food and supplies, guarding the ship, or start building homes and render for all of the people.
