Robert Penn warren was a mankind of precept. He was born on April 24, 1905. His father, Robert Franklin rabbit warren, was a proprietor and banker. His mother, Anna ruth Penn warren, was a school teacher. Robert Warren had two younger siblings; a sister, Mary, who was the middle child, and Thomas, a brother and youngest of the three children.
Robert Warren began his education at Guthrie School where he afterwards graduated at the age of 15. Due to his young age, Warren was not allowed to now enroll into college. Instead, he entered into Clarksville High School in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he graduated after a full school year. Thereafter, Warren spent six weeks in Citizens Military Training Corp, spike Knox, Kentucky, where he create his first poem, Prophecy.
At the age of 16, Warren enrolled into Vanderbilt University after being forced to abandon a passage in the United States Navy due to an eye fault caused by his younger brother, Thomas. While at Vanderbilt University, Warren became the youngest ingredient of the Southern Poets Association known as the Fugitives. Warren published his poems in the Fugitive newsletter until 1925.
After graduation from Vanderbilt, Warren wherefore entered into the University of California as a graduate savant and teachers assistant to earn his M.A. degree. While there, Warren met Emma Brescia.
Warren then attended Yale University on fellowship in 1927 and New College at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar in 1928. After his reach back into the United States in 1930, Warren married Emma Brescia. They later moved to atomic number 57 where he began teaching at Louisiana State University. During his years at LSU, with Cleanth Brooks, he wrote Understanding Poetry, where he was given high praise for revolutionizing the teachings of literature, an amazing feat unconstipated by todays standards.
