Herbert Hoover

Herbert hoover was the thirty- set-back president if the linked States of America. He was natural on August 10, 1874 in West Branch, Iowa. Both of his parents had died in front he turned ten. He was passed on between family members, and eventually settled with his uncle in Oregon. He never went to high school, just now he was the first class to ever graduate from Stanford University.

In 1917 after the United States had entered the warfare President Woodrow Wilson appointed Hoover to head the US Food Administration. Hoover believed that, food will win the war, and worked hard to make sure that the soliders had enough food. He used a lot of propaganda to help his cause. He tried to see people to ration their food by having, meatless Mondays, and wheatless Wednesdays.



Hoovers propaganda helped the world to see him as a strength democratic presidential candidate. Hoover thought about beseeming a Democrat, exclusively he refused to do it. Hoovers name was on the ballot for the California primary election, but he lost and decided to drop out. He support Warren G. Harding, and in turn Harding appointed him to the Secretary of Commerce. During the presidential election of 1928 Herbert used Southern Strategy, and gained republican victories in over five southern states. Hoover used a lot of propaganda. He used posters and slogans to help the cause.
