Olivia and the nawab
The story is approximately a young English woman who goes to india to discover the truth about her great auntie, Olivia. Who fell in love and run onward with the nawab. The narrator ends up falling in love with an Indian man and develops and interest in india.

The Nawab is an Indian prince living in his palace which was construct in the 1820s in Khatm. He rules since he is 15 and so he is used to get e genuinelything he wants. Always ring by many people including Harry he in reality likes to entertain Europeans. He is described as generous and eer appears to listen closely to his guests although he also notices his surrounding. Furthermore, he is masculine and strong and very sure of his great power. So he is used to get everything he wants to have. He was married to a woman called Sandy but the marriage broke up because she was mentally ill.
He is interested in Olivia because she reminds him of Sandy and so he visites her and later on he invites her for a gingersnap by involving all Indian codes of honour. But behind the chimneypiece he has many problems. At first his financial problems shoot down him and he is also involved in affairs with dacoits. For these reasons he has problems with the British Administration. After losing his power he travels to London to pick up for more money.
