In a series of recently-published articles, that we reveiwed when reasearching for this project, the relationship between childrens performance in shoal and various health problems was examined. In each of these articles, the authors reviewed numerous published research studies to look for patterns. Of every the health problems investigated, poor peacefulness was among the most unexpected and classic causes of poor academic achievement. When Claire was 10 years old, she went to bed at 9 pm and awakened promptly at 6:30 am to redeem ready for school. Claire did well in school and was a very responsible young woman. therefore when she entered high school, her parents allowed her to stay up until 10 pm on school nights and midnight on weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays she was allowed to pile in and she commonly awakened between 10 am and noon when she went out of doors (in the bright sunlight) to garden. By Sunday night, she was unable to get to sleep at 10 pm and although she went to bed then she typically didnt fall asleep until midnight. It was very hard for her to get out of bed at 6 am for school and she was often late. Do to this sleep deprivation, as the months progressed Claire struggled to remain concentrate and alert during her classes, and as result her grades began to faulter.
Studies say that a adolescent should rack in intimately eight to ten hours of sleep every night. Realisticly, the average teen only sqeezes in about seven hours of sleep. This effects teens greatly through out their day. getting less than the suggested amount of sleep can cause inablilty to counsel in class, a change to a depressed mood, and as well as a struggle to stay awake in class. much teenagers have difficulty falling asleep in the even and difficulty awakening in the morning.
